Welcome.

This site contains several "calculators" which use artificial intelligence to make predictions about various medical conditions of the prostate.

The prostate gland

The prostate is one of the male sex glands that is located just below the bladder (the organ that collects and empties urine) and in front of the rectum (the lower part of the intestine). The prostate is about the size of a walnut. It surrounds part of the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body. The prostate makes fluid that becomes part of the semen, the white fluid that contains sperm.

Artificial intelligence

We use a type of artificial intelligence called "artificial neural networks" (ANNs). These are computer programs inspired by the microscopic structure of the brain. Just as the brain is comprised of billions of interconnected neurons, ANNs use simulated neurons (nodes) and simulated interconnections. ANNs often have the ability to reveal patterns that might not be otherwise apparent in complex data. In a general sense, our ANNs "learn" about other cancer patients, and determine to whom you are most similar. Read more about ANNs.
